Eastside soccer sweeps Alcovy
By Josh BriggsMarch 4, 2010Eastside soccer swept a pair with Alcovy Wednesday with the boys winning 3-1 in penalty kicks while the girls thumped the Lady Tigers 8-0.In the boys’ game, the Tigers took an early lead when Quamere Rooks scored with 36:40 to go in the first half. Eastside was chartered in 1994 with the class of 1998 as the first graduating class. The school is located 38 miles east of Atlanta and is one of three schools serving Newton County.
